Rare Farber Bros.
Cobalt Cocktail Shaker $380.00
This
Farber Bros. Cocktail Shaker with the insert produced by the Cambridge Glass
Company in their rich dark cobalt blue colored glass. The Farber Bros. chrome
plated base frame and chromed top closure assembly when combined with the
Cambridge decanter body, this piece soars to 11" in height. This
decanter maintains a total liquid capacity of 3 pints.
The Farber chromed
mounts on this piece are free of any pitting, corrosion, peeling or lifting
chrome plating, dents or dings and this decanter sits level just like it was
when purchased back in the 1940's at a very fine Jewelry or High End Department
Store that catered to the well-heeled of the day!!!
You will also, as one
would expect, find Cambridge's deep cobalt colored decanter body in
the same equally amazing condition. Where the clear crystal hand-blown handle
has been applied to the body there is a cracked piece, it is still firmly
attached to the body. That is really the only flaw at all. In
the removable chromed mounts for this piece there are absolutely no chips or
cracks anywhere to be found.
