It is huge at about 14 1/4" tall with a very ornately curved tail that serves as the handle. The head comes off to put in the ingredients and the tongue unscrews to pour the drink. Syrocco Wood Bartender shaped Corkscrew
This piece was on loan to the Museum of the American Cocktail from 2004 until January 2006. The Museum was located in The Pharmacy Museum in New Orleans. It was then moved to the new museum located at The Commanders Palace inside the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas until November 2006.
This 8” tall bartender is actually a very rare corkscrew ca 1930's, supposedly in the likeness of Senator Volsted who introduced the bill for prohibition. It is almost like new shape with a little wear to the base and corkscrew itself. It even still has the original label on the bottom! It states "Syrocco Wood Syracuse NY"
