Classic Cocktail Recipes

Created in 1938 at the Hotel Montelone in New Orleans, famous for it's carousel bar that actually rotates. The name is French for the Old Square referring to the French Quarter.

Vieux Carre Recipe

Ingredients

• 3/4 Oz Rye whiskey
• 3/4 Oz Brandy
• 3/4 Oz Sweet vermouth
• 1/8 Oz Benedictine
• 1 Dash Peychaud's bitters
• 1 Dash Angostura bitters

Preparation

1. Add all ingredients to an ice filled shaker and shake.
2. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass and garnish with a lemon twist
