This is an extremely Rare Dated 1900 Tiffany Co. Makers Sterling Silver Cocktail Shaker. The Cocktail Shaker is an extremely Rare example, I have never seen another with these etched designs. The Cocktail Shaker features amazingly detailed Deeply Acid Etched Art Nouveau Period designs throughout plus a scene of two gentlemen in a tavern scene. The Gentlemen are dressed as Cavaliers and one is shown having just knocked over this Tankard of Ale and the other man is smoking a long pipe. The details in the patterns and scene are truly incredible, by far the finest I have ever seen and so much more impressive than the photos show. The Cocktail Shaker has also been finely etched with the original owner's monogram and the Date 1900. The Cocktail shaker is fully marked on the bottom Tiffany & Co. Makers and is 100% guaranteed to be authentic Tiffany & Co. Sterling. This mark is noted as only having been used 1892-1902. The Cocktail Shaker is in very fine all original condition with no cracks or repairs and is complete. The Cocktail Shaker also has a nice patina from having not been over polished in many years which really sets off the etched designs, it gets a little darker all the time but I won't polish it unless requested by you upon purchase. The strainer cap means that you will never lose a lid as you turn it one way to shake and twist and lift to pour! No cap! The Cocktail Shaker displays beautifully measuring 7-1/2" tall by 3-1/4" wide. The Shaker is also very thick Sterling Silver with a quality weight of 465 grams. I doubt you will ever have the chance to see one of these again. On further research I have found that this was sold by Cowan’s Auction’s 2-15-14 in a live Sales Room auction.
