A set like this just sold on Heritage auctions for $25,000, a new high for this set!
This ca 1936 set designed by Norman Bel Geddes for the Revere Company includes the Manhattan cocktail shaker, the matching Manhattan tray, the Revere candleholders and a set of six of the very rare matching cups! The Shaker measures a towering 13" high x 3 1/4" diameter, chrome plated over brass. It is in excellent, shiny condition inside and out and marked on the bottom, Revere Rome NY. All six of the cups are in very good condition as shown, two have slightly larger stems and are marked Revere. Many people don’t realize that the cup is actually the same piece as the top cap of the shaker. The elegant matching tray is very good with a small amount of surface scratching where the cups and shaker were moved around. Then the two candleholders in great shape and appears to still have the original felt backing.
