Revere Manhattan Cocktail Shaker set by Bel Geddes
A set like this with six cups sold on Heritage auctions for $25,000, a new high for this set!
This ca 1936 set designed by Norman Bel Geddes for the Revere Company includes the Manhattan cocktail shaker, the matching Manhattan tray with the very raare original flower frog grid, and a set of two of the very rare matching cups! The Shaker measures a towering 13" high x 3 1/4" diameter, chrome plated over brass. It is in very good condition inside and out and marked on the bottom, Revere Rome NY. Both of the cups are in very good condition as shown and are marked Revere. Many people don’t realize that the cup is actually the same piece as the top cap of the shaker. The elegant matching tray is very good with a small amount of surface scratching where the cups and shaker were moved around.
